COMMITTEES
The Bridge Centre of Niagara has several committees, all staffed by volunteers.
The president is ex officio for all committees.
Game Director Committee - This Committee is responsible for ensuring a consistent approach by the game directors and scheduling of the game directors for the various games.

Conduct and Ethics Committee - This Committee resolves matters involving improprieties in the Centre. The Committee shall respond to written complaints received by the Chairman and has the authority to impose sanctions in accord with ACBL (American Contract Bridge League) or Bridge Centre of Niagara Rules. Any action taken by this Committee may be appealed to the Board.

Educational and Games Committee - This Committee is responsible for planning the type of games to be held with the appropriate stratification and for scheduling bridge classes/lessons.
Chair: Linda Campanelli
Social Committee - This Committee is responsible for co-ordinating special event games and the purchase of refreshment supplies.
Chair: Lorna Johnson
Membership Committee - This Committee is responsible for: Stimulating public interest in becoming Centre members. Maintaining accurate records of paid up memberships and encouraging prompt dues payment by members. Publishing an Annual Membership Directory listing current members, Board members and Committee Chairmen. Information on scheduled Centre games and Centre rules may also be included.

House Committee - The House Committee is responsible for recommending action for operation and maintenance of the Centre facilities and equipment.
Chair: Lane Byl
Sunshine Committee - This Committee will attempt to identify all sick or incapacitated Members and initiating such actions for the Centre as are deemed necessary.
Members: Marg Dykstra and Jane Quinlan
Partnership Committee - This Committee will attempt to provide game partners, on request, for members and guests at regular Centre games
Members: Robert Hall and Kit Nash
Bridge Bits Committee - This Committee will be
responsible for providing news of Centre and Member activities and
achievements for inclusion in the "Niagara Bridge Bits" newsletter
and for publishing the newsletter.
All members are encouraged to submit articles they would like to include in the publication to the Editor.
