GAME DIRECTORS

The Bridge Centre has several ACBL-certified game directors who are assigned to the various games by the Head Director, Jerry Smee.

The game directors organize and run the various games as recommended in the Bridge Director’s Companion and the ACBL Handbook for Game Directors.  They score the games by computer using the ACBLScore Scoring System program.  When an infraction occurs, they make rulings at the table in accordance with the ACBL Laws of Duplicate Bridge, 1999 Revised Authorized Edition and the ACBL Duplicate Decisions, 2004 Edition.

The game director’s decisions can be appealed to an ad hoc committee of 5 or 6 experienced players convened after the game.  Further appeals are possible to the Head Director and the Board of Directors.

The scores for each game are posted daily on this website where they can be checked for errors.  If a scoring error is suspected, please contact the director of the game in question.
